We are committed to helping individuals create positive change in the quality of their lives by improving their communication skills. We mainly work with families and children to create individually tailored programs to help enhance their child's communication and interactions with the world around them.
Carol is a 2023 graduate of the BA in Linguistics program at UBC, and has an interest in Speech-Language Pathology. Carol was previously one of our volunteers at West Coast Speech, and enjoys getting to know clients as well as assisting with sessions under the guidance of our wonderful SLPs.
Madeleine is an upper year UBC student pursuing a degree in psychology and a minor in speech sciences. She works and volunteers with a wide range of individuals including children, teens and adults. With over 8 years of experience in working people-focused jobs, Madeleine draws on her knowledge to meaningfully engage and connect with clients. In the near future, Madeleine hopes to continue her education and obtain a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Jasmeen recently graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in psychology and is eager to pursue a career in speech pathology. She is very enthusiastic about learning and connecting with people. In her free time, Jasmeen enjoys dancing and exploring diverse culinary experiences, always looking to try new foods and embrace different cultures.
Zoe is a third year UBC student currently working towards her Bachelor of Kinesiology. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with friends, playing tennis and travelling. Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Zoe aspires to further her education by attending graduate school and pursuing a Master’s in Speech Pathology.
Tiana is a UBC student currently pursuing a degree in psychology and a minor in speech sciences. Aspiring to be a speech language pathologist one day, Tiana hopes that her time in the clinic will help her to build new skills and experiences as she immerses herself in the world of speech language pathology.
Sarah is currently a fourth-year student obtaining her BA in Speech Sciences at UBC. She wishes to further her studies in graduate school while working towards a career in Speech-Language Pathology. Her aspirations include assisting children with diverse communication needs and supporting their success across varying learning domains. In

Hailey is a passionate Year 4 Speech Science student at UBC. She loves helping children with communication needs and is excited to assist clients at West Coast Speech and Language Pathology as she pursues her studies.
Nandita is an aspiring speech language pathologist who is currently completing her third year at UBC studying speech sciences. She looks forward to meeting and helping out all of the great SLPs at West Coast Speech every week. In her free time, she enjoys dancing.
Margaux always puts a smile on our faces when she shows up to volunteer. She is going to make a wonderful SLP one day.
Laryssa is an aspiring speech language pathologist who is currently completing her fourth year at UBC studying speech sciences. She looks forward to meeting and learning from all the wonderful SLPs at West Coast Speech every week. In her spare time, she enjoys singing and gymnastics.
As per the safety guidelines set by the BC College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia, the Provincial Health Organization and WorkSafe BC all clients must
1) complete a COVID-19 self assessment survey and 2) understand the safety protocols implemented at our office prior to their therapy session.
These protocols were developed with the goal of reducing the risk of exposure to the virus that causes Covid-19 for the clients and therapists within our clinical setting. The Protocols will be updated as needed.
