Leanne Doyle is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2019. She is registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC), the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP), CORU, and the Irish Association of Speech & Language Therapists (IASLT).
After graduating, Leanne began her career in Ireland, working in a private clinic supporting children and teenagers (ages 0–18) with diverse speech, language, and communication differences. She later worked on the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in the west of Ireland, supporting children with more complex and overlapping needs. These experiences shaped her collaborative, family-centered, evidence-based, and strengths-based approach to practice. Leanne joined West Coast Speech in 2023 and currently works with children and teenagers with a variety of communication needs.
Leanne is a neuroaffirmative, play-based clinician who is passionate about supporting children to communicate in ways that feel meaningful, functional, and authentic to them. She supports communication through spoken language, AAC, or a combination of approaches, based on each child’s individual needs. Working closely with families, caregivers, and educators is a central part of her practice, and she enjoys empowering adults to support communication confidently in everyday life.
Leanne focuses on functional goals that fit into daily routines and supports children with speech sound differences, language differences, fluency, and complex communication needs. She also runs social groups that prioritize connection, shared interests, and authentic relationship-building in a supportive and affirming environment.
Leanne is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly upskills to keep her practice current, evidence-based, and strengths-focused. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, and running.
