Kristen Peers is a graduate of 2020 UBC School of Audiology and Speech Sciences Speech Language Pathology Program. She is a registered member of the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC), a member of Speech and Hearing BC, and a member of Speech and Audiology Canada (SAC). Kristen also works at a rehabilitation centre with adults recovering from brain injury and stroke.
Kristen enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults on their communication goals. Kristen believes in family-centred and person-centred practice where an authentic connection is the basis of care. She leads her practice with empathy and curiosity to best understand each person’s needs and strengths, then works in collaboration with the person and family to deliver a functional and tailored therapy approach. She believes that functional activities that are built into a person’s daily routine have the greatest impact on communication goals.
Kristen has completed the Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT LOUD) advanced training and is eager to support people with their voice and vocal quality goals.
In her free time, Kristen enjoys skiing, baking, and spending time with her puppy, Millie.
